A family harbour business turned into the Nordic region's most distinctive private-island casino resort.
Our story
Horizon Marketing began in 1987 as a modest maritime venture: a single restored salt-trading warehouse on Halla Saari, a granite islet in the Turku archipelago, converted by the Lindqvist-Korhonen shipping family into a members' card room for the sailing clubs of the southern coast. Over four decades, that single warehouse grew into a fourteen-hectare private-island resort, licensed and regulated under Finnish gaming law, welcoming guests from across the Nordic countries, continental Europe and beyond.
The name "Horizon Marketing" pairs "Suomi," the Finnish word for Finland, with the promise of a resort built entirely around the character of the northern archipelago: granite and glass, aurora light, cold water and warm hospitality. Every expansion of the property, from the 2005 glass gaming pavilions to the 2019 Aurora Suites wing, has kept that founding idea intact.

Halla Saari's design language draws directly from the archipelago around it: the cool palette of granite and northern sky, the warmth of birchwood and brass in our gaming salons, and the slow, considered pace of Nordic hospitality applied to a fast-moving casino floor. Every member of our team, from croupiers to concierge, is trained to bring genuine warmth to a setting built on precision.
Governance and responsible operation
Horizon Marketing operates under strict internal controls covering anti-money-laundering compliance, responsible-gambling safeguards, and data protection, overseen by a dedicated Compliance Committee that reports directly to the Horizon Online Marketing B.V. board. We are an active participant in Nordic industry responsible-gambling initiatives and undergo independent audit of our gaming operations on an annual basis.
